Northern Road, formerly known as CLB, is a refreshing presence in the world of American bass music. After making a name for himself under his former alias, this new project allows him to expand on the path he carved, free from the creative limitations that built up over a decade as CLB.
Northern Road aims to take foundational sounds of the UK while blending ambient and experimental influences. While the main focus circles around club-ready dubstep and drum & bass, the ethos of the project is designed to bring the listener on a journey that isn’t strictly defined by genre, but by an enthusiasm for experimentation.
Though still in its early stages, Northern Road is backed by a strong foundation. Past releases have landed on heavyweight labels such as Deadbeats, Born on Road, and MONTA. He has performed both domestically and internationally at acclaimed venues including Lakota in Bristol, Elsewhere in New York, and the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Recent highlights include performances at Infrasound Equinox, North Coast Music Festival, and a standout B2B set with Taiki Nulight at Hulaween 2025.
